While caring for someone with dementia, you have come to know all of your loved one’s habits, pet peeves, and other ‘tips’ that make caring for that specific individual easier. This would not be the case if someone else needed to come in to relieve you for whatever reason. It is important to relay this information to the person who is filling in for you as the caregiver.
